Been stuck in airports terrorized, sent to meetings hypnotized, overexposed, commercialized, handle me with care

Two of my interests have always been travel and photography and, years (and years) ago, I combined them with some travel writing and started sending them out as email to friends and family as slideshows. These quickly adopted a similar format- starting with a subject header taken from song lyrics, each email would include five to ten pictures along with descriptions often made up of run on sentences and things in parentheses for no (specific) reason. As one of my early 2020 quarantine lockdown projects, I started looking at organizing and moving these slideshows online by adding them right here to this very site, which sounded like a good idea at the time. The only problem with that is that there are a lot of slideshows. Over the years, I have been lucky enough to travel to a lot of different places and take way too many pictures of each of them, and including them here started to overwhelm everything else. So now, if you want to browse through any or all of those slideshows you’re going to have to go to a completely different (yet eerily similar looking site): Joe’s Slideshow Archive

If you don’t want to leave, that’s ok, there’s still some slides for you to look at here. Below are a sampling of some of the slideshow photos, presented without additional descriptions or explanations. If you’re curious enough to click on one of them, that will take you to the slideshow site which (should) open in a new window.
